Where did you Just Get Back from? Shanghai, China

When were you in Shanghai? August 23-26, 2015

Words to describe your first thoughts upon arrival: Shanghai is a city that is a perfect marriage of old and new. The city is divided by The Huangpu river into the old Puxi area on the west, and the new Pudong district to the east.

Where do you recommend to stay? For travelers wanting the feel of old China and a flavor of the cultures that shaped this area, then the Four Seasons Shanghai is a great place to stay. Warm attentive staff, inviting lobby lounge, beautifully appointed guest rooms and outstanding cuisine. You feel as if you are being welcomed home. Across the river in the busy business center is the Four Seasons Pudong. Tall, sleek, building with a uniformed staff in Chanel style clothing that matches the sophisticated black and white decorated guest rooms. Enormous guest rooms with floor to ceiling windows with equally large and lavish bathrooms. The view of the Pearl Tower and surrounding skyscrapers, some of the tallest in the world are breathtaking. You feel like you are looking into the world of the future. The Peninsula on the Bund combines the art deco décor of the past with a view of the modern edifices across the river.

Tempt us- Name same special you discovered on this trip: Shopaholics beware!  The city is a Mecca for shopping and I suggest you treat yourself to a personal shopper! If you are in Shanghai for business or leisure, you can hire a personal shopper to take you to get a suit or dress custom made within 24hrs and delivered straight to your hotel room.  There is a plethora of designer stores throughout the city, but if you want a knock off of your favorite designer handbag, shoes, or watches, the personal shopper will take you to the “hidden Shanghai” for amazing deals. After feeding your guilty pleasures of shopping there are also plenty of museums for the cultural enthusiast.
